AppleScript
Some of my favorite AppleScripts:
- Add Birthdays to iCal
- Adds to iCal a yearly event (with a reminder alarm) for each birthday
available in your Address Book. In order to install this script, you
have to place it in the
Library > Address Book Plug-Ins
folder. The next time you start your Address Book, a command Add
Birthdays to iCal will appear its script menu.
Update: This feature has been integrated into iCal as of Mac OS X 10.4. Obviously the integrated feature is much more convenient than my script but sadly it still misses an alarm option. So here is a simplified version of the previous script that will add an alarm to all the events in your Birthdays calendar: Add Birthday Alarms to iCal
